Three-stage brass blunderbuss barrel with folding spring-loaded triangular bayonet mounted on top with tang-mounted release trigger. Private London proof and view marks on left side of breech. Lockplate has sprigs of engraving on tail, center marked "BRASHER", a roller-frizzen, and an engraved cock. Brass furniture, buttplate tang, and trigger guard engraved with panoplies of arms, acorn trigger guard finial. Plain walnut semi-fullstock. Complete with its original horn-tipped ramrod. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrel bright with some minor denting around touchhole, proof marks clear. Bayonet mechanism functions properly, bayonet locks into place when engaged. Lock in its original flintlock configuration and functions well. Lock bright with some minor freckling, markings very good. Brass mounts polished, engraving is worn but visible. Stock shows scattered marks from use and a series of marks on the right side of buttstock. A very attractive blunderbuss.
