It is estimated that this successor to the Model 1875 was produced by Remington from 1891-1896, and totaled only 2020 examples. This sports the nickel finish with two piece ivory grips. The right panel has a carved Goddess of Liberty. The escutcheon on that side was plugged to hide it. Grips need a new screw to fit gun snugly to the frame. The left side of frame is stamped ".44 C.F.W". Barrel has simple one line Remington New York legend. CONDITION: Excellent. Perfectly blended homogenous mix of nickel and gun metal with a few freckles. Action is smooth. Bore is strong. Handsome and scarce old west revolver.
