Lot consists of a fraternal sword and 2 commissions of Colonel Albert P. Morrow. (A) The sword is marked "M.C. / LILLEY / & CO. / COLUMBUS / OHIO" and "MADE IN GERMANY" on the ricasso. Blade is decorated for most of its length with patriotic and scrolled motifs with "A.P. MORROW" on obverse. Initials "APM" are on ivory grip. Knight head pommel, missing chain link guard. Complete with scabbard that features decorative mounts with fraternal motifs. The sword presents well with bright blade and unmolested decorations. Grip with light chips and scabbard with slight bend. CONDITION: Good. (B) Commission appointing Albert P. Morrow to the rank of Colonel by Brevet, dated 5 April 1866. Signed Andrew Johnson and Edwin M Stanton. Both signatures are secretarial. Measures approximately 21" x 17". Visible fold lines with light staining. Ink exhibits fading but remains legible. CONDITION: Good. (C) Commission appointing Albert P. Morrow to the rank of Colonel dated 7 March 1891. Signed by Benjamin Harrison and Redfield Proctor. The commission comes with a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity. Measures approximately 20" x 17". Visible fold lines with light staining. Ink exhibits fading but remains legible. CONDITION: Good. Included as paperwork are several images of Colonel Morrow with information written on verso.
