M1902 Campaign Hat with punched 5-pointed star vents. This example features its original manufacture stamp that reads "WM. H. HORSTMANN CO. / PHILADELPHIA / CONTRACT, MAR 30, 1908". The Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot stamp is also present right next to the manufacture stamp and reads "PHILA. DEPOT / GILSON". Star vents measure approximately 1 - 1/2". Leather sweatband measures 2" wide and remains supple. The size label "6 - 1/2" remains on the sweatband. All of the sweatband remains secured to the hat. Ribbon is clean and tight, measuring approximately 1" wide with nice bow. Hat retains its shape and remains supple. "U.S.S." insignia is pinned to the front of the hat. 1 small hole on reverse with a few stains around the crown. Shoelace style drawstring is present. CONDITION: Very good.
