Lot consists of: (A) Model 1896 carbine scabbard for the Krag rifle complete with straps. Generally smooth surface to the leather with areas of light crazing. These scabbards were produced at the Rock Island Arsenal but this example does not exhibit any visible markings. CONDITION: Good. (B) M1885 Cavalry Carbine Scabbard designed to be attached to the McClellan saddle and intended to secure the Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield or .50-70 Sharps Carbine. Marked "ROCK ISLAND / ARSENAL". Smooth surface with areas of light crazing. Complete with supple straps. CONDITION: Very good. (C) Model 1839 cavalry sling in black bridle leather. Measures approximately 52" from end to end, and 2 - 3/8" wide. This example appears to have been shortened from its original length of 56". Leather remains supple with patina to clip and buckle. CONDITION: Good. (D) M1885 carbine sling for the .45-70 trapdoor carbine. Measures approximately 61" from end to end, and 1 - 1/2" wide. Leather remains supple with patina to clip and buckle. CONDITION: Good. (E) Brown leather sling for the Philippine Constabulary Krag rifle. Leather is supple with some folds and warps. CONDITION: Good.
