This is a late model made in 1865. It has matching serial number on barrel, inside the left lower tang, butt plate and inside the stock channel. Octagonal barrel has the two line Henry patent barrel legend. The left side of walnut stock and left side of barrel have sling swivels. The walnut stock also has the famed Henry bump. Standard front sight with ladder rear. Standard brass frame and butt plate. CONDITION: Very good. The barrel and tube are a smooth, dark patina with sharp barrel legend and a few dings along barrel edges. The brass is beautifully toned and shows no signs of cleaning or polishing. The stock show some minor bumps and bruises with small sliver at left wrist tang. Operates correctly. Bore is well defined with light abrasion. A nice, honest Henry rifle.
