Circa 1969; wood tests negative for salt. Vent rib with Bradley style bead front sight and a mid bead with insert damaged, with machine cut crosshatch matting. Chambers with 2 - 1/2" chamber proof, "**$" choked designations for each tube for Skeet chokes, barrels with designations for a Belgian made .410 with 2 - 1/2" chambers. Browning sliding wide bottom forearm with finger recesses is checkered in modified point pattern, with a Deely latch release. Boxlock action with classic Pigeon grade engraving of pigeons on each side with supporting scrollwork, scroll edging, and carved florals. No signature observed, but the work is well executed, excepting the forearm iron, which appears to be a replacement as the work is considerably lesser than balance. Single mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety with "S inlaid in gold ahead of tab, O and U abutting for barrel selection. Square knob short tang stock on a densely grained walnut built with sidepanels, checkered in two panels of point pattern checkering at the wrist, and fit with a Browning waffle pad. CONDITION: Barrels retain virtually all of their factory blue with some minor handling marks and very mild thinning to sharp edges. Action excellent, engraving crisp and clear, with some softness from age and discoloration. Stocks very good with some scattered handling marks and impressions, left side of butt with remnants of adhesive that should clean. Mechanically fine, bores excellent with some mild evidence of firing, ejectors are in time.
