Manufactured by J&E Stevens & Co. Attributed to Charles Bailey, the foremost and most prolific designer of mechanical banks. Circa 1906. This rare bank features the popular comic character duo of it's day, Buster Brown and his trusty dog Tige. "Raise extension into position; press the hook down and lay a coin in the slot. Place Buster Brown and his boat at the top of chute and start downward." Unlike most other banks, a coin is required for the appropriate action to occur. Includes original box.
