Lot consists of: (A) Early 1880s Mills tan 50 round .45-70 cartridge belt with rare 2-piece cast brass belt plate with sunken oval "US" at center and smooth background. Nice color to canvas with a few scattered stains. Tight stitching. Brass hanger attached. Plate with light patina and light blemishes. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Mills 45 round .45-70 cartridge belt marked "26" in thick ink letters on reverse. Rare H pattern plate with raised oval around the letters "US". Nice dark color to canvas with some fraying on the cartridge loops. Plate exhibits a pleasing patina with areas of oxidation at the bottom. Minor fraying on some of the cartridge loops. CONDITION: Good. (C) Mills 30 round 20 gauge shotgun belt. Reverse is faintly stamped "Anson Mills Patent / Aug 26 '67 July 31 '77 / Charles Orndoref / [illegible] / Worchester Mass". Lower edge of belt features 2 areas with 5 brass eyelets, 1 of which accommodates a brass ring and thong. The belt was most likely carried for use with the M1881 forager shotgun. Plate is marked with "FEB 1 1881" date. Nice color with pleasing patina to belt. Light fraying but tight overall. CONDITION: Good.
