Manufactured 1929. Winchester made fewer Model 94's in 32-40 than any other caliber. Being a black powder cartridge, buyers of the new 94's wanted the new smokeless round. Finding a 32-40 carbine with condition is tough indeed. This is a standard old school 94 eastern carbine made without a saddle ring. Features the ladder rear sight, post front sight, blue finish and walnut stocks. Tang is stamped with Winchester Trade Mark. Left side of barrel has Winchester legend, nickel steel with caliber. CONDITION: Excellent. Overall, at least 98% factory blue remains. The high polish frame shows some light high edge wear and the bolt is thinning a bit. Even the sides of the two barrel bands retain their blue. 98% fire blue on loading gate. A good 90% original blue on butt plate. Wood shows some usual dings and impressions. Bore is bright. One of the best condition 32-40 carbines we have seen.
