The majority of these Custom Shop Engraving samples were finished in nickel; this is a two-tone high polish blue example. The right side of the slide is marked ”GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The left side of the slide is marked “COLT MK IV / -SERIES 80-” with the rampant Colt logo. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”. The barrel is marked "-COLT 45 AUTO-". The slide and frame have Grade B bank note scroll engraving with the fancy Colt Pony 150th anniversary logo engraved on the left of the slide. The front strap is engraved “Colt Engraving Sampler”. The left ivory grip panel is scrimshawed “R. Henshaw 1831 / L. Nimschke 1850-1900 / C. Helfricht 1871-1921 / Contemporary”. All engraving was done by Colt. Comes in a walnut and glass show case. CONDITION: As new.
