Overall length: 14”. Barrel length: 8”. All matching numbers including the wedge and the arbor and the inspector mark on the left side of the grips is visible but highly worn, showing only the partial outline of the cartouche. All of the originally blued parts have gone to a plum brown with the frame being dark brown. The cylinder scene is primarily intact but soft in a few places with the naval scene still in the white (now oxidized to a steel gray). This Colt was manufactured in late 1861. Good condition with all parts intact and no major flaws in the surface; although, it is now a “brown gun” surface-wise.
1860 US ARMY COLT PISTOL.
