Made in Boston from 1866-1878 with less than 1500 made in either grip configuration. This is the square butt version , both barrels are 32 rimfire, spur trigger, rosewood grips, brass frame. Both barrels have German nickel front sights. Barrels are rotated into position. One barrel legend reads AMERICAN ARMS CO. BOSTON MASS PAT. OCT 31 1865-JUNE 19, 1866. The other reads WHEELERS PAT. OCT 31 1865-JUNE 19, 1866. CONDITION. Very good. No original finish on iron. Brass has toned. Grips are fine. Barrel address is mostly legible. Hammer will not stay cocked. On the right side of barrel , someone etched some numbers along with 1857, the significance of this is unknown. The rifling is defined but pitted
