Manfactured 1907. This rifle was built on an original High Wall action with a No. 3 heavy octagonal barrel in .38-55. The barrel shows no sign of any front sight slot cut, so barrel was probably shortened. You can see two plugged holes near area where a rear sight might have been. Barrel was drilled and tapped for a set of A-O scope blocks. The rifle now sports an R.A. Litschert 20 x 3/4" tube scope with a standard crosshair reticle in adjustable alloy mounts. A custom heavy walnut forearm and Schutzen style butt stock with heavy brass Swiss butt plate have been fitted. An elaborate custom trigger guard has also been added. Rifle sports double set triggers. All metal has been reblued. CONDITION: Very good. Metal retains majority of reapplied bright blue finish. Barrel legends are legible except where tap holes were applied. Stock is very good with some added finish and scattered impressions and dents. Bore is bright, set triggers work.
