Factory built on the robust No 44 1/2 frame that is stamped on receiver face "45" for model. The heavy #2 stamped octagon barrel has the Stevens legend on top with "32 Ideal" stamped on left side. The rear barrel sight slot has a filler. Front sight is an unusual hooded globe style. The barrel has three sets of scope block tap holes. Barrel and frame have matching numbers. The forearm sports an original folding palm rest. The butt stock wears a heavy Swiss style buttplate. This rifle sports a period tang sight and double set triggers. The lever has a small period repair. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel retains majority of blue blending patina with all the sharp edges turning patina. Barrel legends are crisp. The case color frame has turned a silvery patina. The stock is excellent with some added finish and a few impressions. The forearm has scattered impressions and finish loss on center. The bore is well defined but frosted. Triggers function.
