Manufactured in 1904. Blade front and U notch rear sight. Two piece hard rubber checkered grips with "COLT" at the top of each grip. Two line address and patent dates on the top of the barrel, "COLT'S PATENT ARMS MANUFACTURING CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. PAT. AUG. 5, 1884 JUNE 5, 1900". On the left side of the barrel is "NEW SERVICE CAL. 44". On the left side of the frame is the Rampant Colt logo with "COLT'S NEW SERVICE" around it. There is a factory lanyard loop at the bottom of the grip. CONDITION:This gun retains most of the original factory applied blue finish. There is some brown patina starting to show through the blue. The front and rear grip straps have no finish. Good bore with well defined lands and grooves. The grips show some wear but have no chips or cracks in them.
