Manufactured in 1903. Half moon front and U notch rear sights. Two piece checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" at the top of each grip. Two line address and patent dates on top of the barrel, "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED. AUG.5, 1884 NOV. 6, 88 MAR. 5, 95". Caliber designation on the left side of the barrel "COLT, D.A. 38". There is a Rampant Colt logo in a circle on the left rear of the frame. CONDITION: This gun retains the vast majority of the original factory applied blue finish. There is some high edge wear and some minor holster wear. The straps are thinning. Good bore with well defined lands and grooves. The checkering on the grips shows some slight wear, and there are no chips or cracks in the grips.
