Basically, this is a deluxe Model 70 using the pre-64 type action that features a checkered pistol grip deluxe walnut stock with straight comb, solid red Winchester pad, inset sling eyes, black fore-end tip and grip cap. Finish is blue and the barrel was made sans sights. The bolt is jeweled. Rifle sports a specially marked Leupold 3x9 scope that is marked on top "Safari Club International Year of the Whitetail" The floor plate has the special 1998 1 of 100 slogan in gold. There are two hang tags, one of which is special to the Model 79 SCI Whitetail special edition. The other tag reads Model 70 Pre-64 detailing it was made using the pre 64 style action. CONDITION: Excellent. Shows as near new. Metal shows only light handling. Stock has a few small dings in checkering.
