Manufactured in 1938. This is a solid frame rifle that features a blue finish, round barrel, replaced front sight blade on base, replaced rear sight with unusual peep on adjustable base, plain pistol grip walnut stock with black cap & Savage steel butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent. There are two plugged holes on forearm and stock where eyes were removed. Receiver retains about 60% blue thinning on edges and base from carry. All barrel legends are crisp. Barrel retains 95% blue with muzzle wear and light handling. Wood is excellent having been refinished with repaired small hairline at top of wrist. Lever shows flashes of case color. Bore is well defined with frosting.
