Manufactured on a 1st production block circa Fall 1943 Inland receiver. Finished in commercial blue with an aftermarket barrel and ramped blade front sight, at one point having a rear peep sight, now fitted with a Ted Williams 4X scope on a Numrich base. Rather than a self-loading action, this conversion is slide actuated and self-closing. Although there is no associated provenance, it may be a prototype for the .44 Vulcan carbine or simply a wonderful gunsmith concoction. Stocked in what appears to be a modified Fajen Monte Carlo stock with serrated plastic butt plate. Complete with a shortened magazine. CONDITION: Near excellent as converted. Virtually all of the blued finish is retained throughout. Stock shows some scattered marks. Optic has some clouding. Very good, crisp bore. ME reads under 1. Fine mechanics. A very interesting piece. PROVENANCE: Larry Ruth Collection
