Apparently, this cartridge was not listed for sale in the US, and very few were exported before the war. This example has all of the factory legends, including caliber on the receiver bridge, with the Steyr legend on the left side. There are no legends stamped on the floor plate, nor is there a Model number. This is a half stock sporting rifle with blue finish that features a ramp front sight, folding leaf rear sight, working double set trigger, a butter knife bolt handle. The walnut stock is checkered with a pistol grip and cap, roll over cheek piece, steel trap door butt plate, and swivels. This rifle sports a Gerard early German scope with claw mounts. CONDITION: This is a high condition 95%+ gun with minor handling on metal and minor impressions & small bumps in the stock with sharp checkering. The heavy line and post reticle is crystal clear.
