Circa 1921. A Birmingham made boxlock ejector game gun with dovetail 28" blacked steel barrels. Barrels nicely appointed with ejectors and 2 – 3/4" chambers. Smooth concave and tapered barrel rib with round brass front bead sight. Breech end of barrel with light scroll engraving and third fastener lock up mechanism. Rib reads "ROWLAND WATSON. BIRMINGHAM.ENGLAND". Right barrel reads "FOLSOM ARMS CO NEW YORK". Left barrel reads "U.S AGENTS". Bottom of right barrel reads "MADE IN ENGLAND". Barrel flats read "NITRO PROOF", "1 1/8", "12-C" and with Birmingham proofs. Boxlock scalloped action with cross bolt locking mechanism. Metal with traces of case colors and gray patina. Water table with case colors, serial number, and proof stamps. Action with scroll engraving and game scenes of English pointer stalling on right and pheasants in field on left. Bottom action with faded black and scroll engraving. Action built with double triggers, black scroll engraved and checkered top lever and checkered slide safe. "SAFE" in gold. Gun is built with auto-safe. Walnut English straight grip stock with drop points and fine checkering is honey colored with nice figure and adorned with a vacant silver oval and finished by an older brown rubber 1” pad. Matching splinter forend with an Anson push release, scroll engraved escutcheon and pin. Exterior iron metal is scroll engraved. Interior iron metal is case color hardened. Gun lives in an oak and leather case with a "STEPHEN GRANT" paper trade label with charge card. Case comes with handguard, oil bottles, turnscrews and bore cleaning brush. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels with slight handling marks and good bores. Action is tight and sound. Triggers and ejectors operate well. Stock and forend both very good with some handling marks. Case very good with handling marks and signs of use. PROVENANCE: Cal Pappas Collection

CORRECTION: The forearm lump on this gun has been rewelded, and the barrels have been reblued.
