Manufactured in 1891. Inspected by R.A.C. (RANALDO A. CARR) and sub-inspected by PSI CAPT. STANHOPE E. BLUNT, O.I.". It has an early style bullseye ejector rod and housing. The serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and the back strap match. The cylinder has the last four serial numbers on the side. One piece wood grip with the ordinance inspector S.E.B on the left grip and R.A.C. on the right grip. Single line barrel address on top of the barrel. Two line patent address on the left side of the frame. U.S. stamped on the lower left side of the frame. There is also an inspector mark (K) on the backstrap and trigger guard. CONDITION: This gun retains copious amounts the original blue finish. The frame and hammer retain case color in the protected areas. The remainder has turned silver. Grips show handling and usage marks. Good bore with well defined lands and grooves. An above average Colt Artillery.
