Excavated grouping of Civil War battlefield relics highlighted by a cemented group of musket cartridges and minie balls from an excavated cartridge pouch, and the blade and partial grip of a Confederate short artillery sword with star marked pommel. There are also several buttons including eagle I, eagle C, and a New York button. There are also 3 small riker mounts of assorted relics identified as coming from the 1861 Battlefield of Bull Run / Manassas, Virginia. Included are buttons, dropped Minie balls, sutler's tokens, kepi and Hardee hat insignia, coins, and small equipment. CONDITION: Good relic condition as found. Lastly, there is a large riker mount of 43 excavated and non-excavated projectiles, musket worms, paper wrapped cartridges for muskets, rifles, and a handful of carbine cartridges. Both Confederate and Union with some rare examples present. CONDITION: Relic to very good paper wrapped examples still holding together with original string.
