Manufactured in 1894 during the first year of production according to Madis. Fitted with a blued round barrel chambered in .25-35 with blade front sight and desirable platinum lined 3-leaf express rear sight. Polished blued receiver without 10 o'clock screw. Plain walnut stocks with case hardened rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel and magazine tube retain approximately 97% factory blue with scattered marks. Frame exhibits approximately 90% lustrous original polished blue with some wear and scratching. Loading gate likewise displays brilliant nitre blue. Hammer and lever exhibit strong and attractive case colors with some areas of fading to pattern. Stocks are fine, retaining most of their original finish with scattered light impressions and a few larger abrasions on the right side toward the butt. Strong, well defined bore. Crisp mechanics. A great early '94.
