Circa 1968 per serial number. Vent rib with brass bead front sight and machine cut matting, barrel legends for a Belgian manufactured 20 gauge with 3" barrels and Special Steel barrels. Matching serial number on leg of latch and chamber, Browning choke code designations for Full over Modified; top barrel has been opened and is now Cylinder. Browning sliding round nose forearm with two panels of point pattern checkering. Blued boxlock action with Grade I engraving, non-automatic safety with "S" engraved ahead of slide, "O" and "U" abutting for barrel selector positions, and gold washed selective inertia driven trigger. Plain grained walnut stock in round knob short tang configuration with sidepanels, two panels of point-and-wave checkering about the wrist, and a Browning branded hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Barrels with the vast majority of a good quality reblue, with some freckling primarily to left side along the midrib, with one area of old corrosion approximately 10" back from muzzle on rib. Boxlock very good with majority of original factory bluing with some thinning to edges and about the carry point, with some fine spotting at carry point. Stocks very good with some very mild handling marks and impressions from the field. Mechanically fine, ejectors are soft but in time, bores are very good with some carbon fouling from use.
