Jr" and a Browning branded hard rubber buttplate. Housed in a leather wrapped case with wine colored lining compartmentalized for gun when broken apart, and containing accessories including previous owner label, A&F oil bottle, mop, and jag. Lid embossed "J.S. Jr" commensurate with plaque. CONDITION: Barrel with the vast majority of a good quality rebluing with some handling marks from the field, thinning to sharp edges and where forearm reciprocates along barrels, some silvering. Legends slightly thinned, but legible. Forearm very good with handling marks and impressions and a few abraded heads. Action very good with some age related discoloration, mostly towards trigger guard, engraving is sharp and crisp. Stoc very good with some handling marks and impressions throughout, but no cracks; some extremely minor chipping at head, with a few deeper impressions scattered. Checkering with a few abraded heads. Mechanically fine, ejectors are strong but out of time, bottom fires first, bores very good with some carbon striations towards chambers. Case very good, relined, with some age related handling marks and scrapes, but solid and whole.
