German World War II Luftwaffe aircrew 1st model gravity knife with an "SMF SOLINGEN ROSTFREI" marked stainless steel blade with nice areas of visible cross-graining and scratches throughout its length. Nickeled fittings have light scattered marks throughout with bright finish. Blade release functions properly, spring is original to the knife, and the serial number "688" is present on both the lever and spring. Walnut grip panels are properly pinned and exhibit a number of light abrasions. Steel spike is marked with a "Luftamt5". CONDITION: Very good.
