Ordered for the Philippines Constabulary. This gun has a single line barrel address on top of the barrel, COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." It has the "45 COLT" caliber designation on the left side of the barrel. R.A.C. (Renaldo A. Carr) on the left front trigger bow, left rear of the frame and on the rear of the cylinder. Rampant Colt logo in a circle on the left rear of the frame. J.T.T (John Taliaferro Thompson) on the right rear of the frame. 1902 and U.S. also on the right side of the frame. Full serial number on the bottom of the grip and the last four digits of the serial number on the back of the cylinder and the loading gate. The noticeable difference between this model and other 1878DAs, is the oversized trigger guard and trigger. Factory lanyard loop at the bottom of the grip. CONDITION: This gun retains the vast majority of the original factory applied blue finish. There are a few spots of finish loss and handling marks scattered across the gun. Niter blue small parts have most of the finish left. Checkering on the original hard rubber grips is sharp and crisp. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. A very high condition 1902 Philippines Constabulary Colt.
