Late 17th century French banana lock with convex plate and unbridled pan. The round unmarked barrel is likely French. French furniture, including a Model 1728 muzzle band, sideplate, and buttplate. The trigger guard is likely a Model 1763 component. Stocked in cherry with early form, the wrist extends nearly the full length of the buttstock. Complete with a period American manufactured iron ramrod. CONDITION: Barrel, lock and iron furniture retain a grey patina. Buttplate tang bent upward slightly at tip. Lock is in its original flintlock configuration and functions well. Stock shows scattered cracks minor splintering, some chipping around lockplate tail. A very nice American assembled Revolutionary War musket meant for action and functionality.
