Manufactured 1871. Standard saddle ring carbine features brass frame. Brass trap door carbine butt plate is stamped 611 (assembly number). The walnut stock channel number is hard to read but does not match butt plate nor serial number so one or the other was replaced. Standard front barrel band sight, single thick leaf standing rear sight. No visible barrel legend. CONDITION: Good. The barrel, tube and bands are a grey brown freckled patina. Brass was cleaned at one time and is starting to darken. The bolt housing is missing innards. The forearm has crack on left side along with dings and added finish and is shy to metal. The butt stock is shy to metal, a sliver on left side upper tang, is cracked inside in channel, has scattered dings and added finish. Gun operates correctly. The bore is very well defined with abrasions. Has that wild west used look. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection
