Manufactured by Mauser for the Portuguese army. They made exactly 564 of these guns. Mauser Banner on the front toggle link and an entwined GNR "GARDE NATIONALE REPUBLICANIE" over the chamber. The extractor is marked "CARREGADA" on the left side. The thumb safety lever is marked "SEGURANCA" in the lower position. Two piece checkered Walnut grips. CONDITION: This gun retains vast amounts of the original factory applied blue and straw finish. Checkered Walnut grips show some wear and handling marks. Good bore with well defined lands and grooves. The magazine bottom is a modern reproduction.
