Manufactured 1946. Very rare little rifle with scarce full octagon barrel and chambered in .22 Short. Features standard factory blue finish, takedown, 2/3rd length tube magazine, sporting sights, and plain pistol grip walnut stock with grooved forearm. Left side of barrel is stamped ".22 Short" with Winchester Model 61 legend, factory legend on other side, non grooved receiver, and a checkered steel butt plate. CONDITION: Overall, metal retains nearly all of the original factory blue, even the slide arm shows just some scattered handling marks and scuffs, with some wear along side of octagon barrel where handle slides. Wood is excellent with minor handling impressions. Bore is still sharp but frosting. An extremely fine condition and scarce rifle. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
