Manufactured 1899. Matching numbers. Has the Stembridge studio "S" property stamp on frame. This gun comes with a copy of a letter from Dale Robertson dated September 8th, 2006, stating this gun was from his collection and was carried by him in his movies and television shows. Best remembered for his role on the Tales of Wells Fargo series, he also starred in other television series and appeared in dozens of westerns during the 1950s-1960s. Dale died in 2013. This gun was re-nickel plated at one time but nicely done and the two line barrel address is still legible as is the caliber legend on left side of barrel. The left side of the frame has the two line patent date. Grips are stag, a favorite with the old Westerns. Before Dale took this revolver, it was probably used in numerous Western movies and television shows. CONDITION: Excellent with note to refinish. Four Colt clicks with strong half cock, Sharp but frosted bore. Excellent grips. Retains majority of the nickel finish.
