Factory research states that this rifle was shipped on October 25, 1905 as a rifle in .33 caliber with round barrel, plain trigger, checkered stock, pistol grip, full magazine, shotgun butt, rubber butt plate, and takedown. The Lyman No .21 receiver sight is not listed, otherwise, gun is as listed. Features the light weight barrel with base and dovetail front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, blue finish with case color hammer and lever, and Winchester buttplate and grip cap. Matching assembly number 754 stamped in the upper wood channel at tang and inside lower tang on left side with XX for the special wood which features the deluxe piano finish. Frame and barrel both have PW stamp. CONDITION: Excellent. The receiver retains about 50% blue on right side and about 70% on left due to sight, balance smooth soft grey, mostly from carry. Strong color remains on hammer with flashes on lever. Strong 95% blue on barrel and tube with some thinning and small dent on magazine. Strong Winchester barrel legend on top. The stocks are proud, fairly sharp checkering, stunning grain with usual scattered impressions & small dings. There is a plugged swivel eye hole at base of toe The bore is well defined.
