Manufactured 1947. This was the only year that Winchester made this round barrel rifle chambered for .22 Short only. All standard features, including blue finish, takedown, round barrel, 2/3rds tube magazine, round top receiver, plain pistol grip walnut stock, checkered steel butt plate, and flat bottom grooved forearm. Winchester .22 Short barrel legend with both PW stamps like new. CONDITION: Shows as near new with essentially all the blue on slide bar, tube base, and all other metal. Just light handling which is also nearly non-existent. Stock shows a few minor impressions. Bore is bright. Worthy of a box. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
