Manufactured in 1877. Profusely engraved with a foliate and scroll pattern and incorporating other geometric designs in the engraving. The barrel has six different cattle brands engraved on it. There is a monogram on the backstrap "STEVE MALOW". The engraving is signed on the right side of the frame "MEL". The barrel has been cut back to a 4 - 3/4" barrel. It has a single line barrel address and a smaller front sight. One piece ivory grips. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. The action indexes fine and locks up tight. It has all four clicks. CONDITION: This gun retains virtually all of the aftermarket applied nickel finish. The grips are very nice but are a little oversized. Frosted bore with well defined lands and grooves.
