Manufactured 1909. This is one of the better condition Model 1906 rifles you will see. Standard rifle with round barrel, tube magazine, take down, 1901 dated rear sight, blue finish, walnut stock with gutta percha Winchester butt plate and smooth forearm. CONDITION: Excellent. Receiver and bolt retain at least 95% bright blue with some scattered small scratches & handling marks with light high edge wear. Barrel shows about 90% with some light muzzle wear and a bit of softening as does tube with a few freckles. Stock is proud and shows usual light impressions. Barrel legends are sharp. Strong bore and fine action. This is a far better example than is normally seen. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
