Manufactured 1899. Special order half octagon barrel, full tube magazine, take down, walnut stocks with rifle butt plate, large Sheard type front sight, rear space filler with tang sight. Standard blue finish. CONDITION. Excellent. Receiver shows some dulling blue mixing with smooth patina. Loading gate retains 70% blue. Barrel is a soft blue blending patina. Tube is basically soft patina. Barrel legends are crisp. Stock is flush to metal with a toe repair but forearm is a hair shy and shows just the usual small dings & impressions. Bore is well defined but frosted. Fine action. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
