Manufactured in 1919. Ordered by the US military for training purposes and is stamped US with ordnance bomb on upper tang. Features walnut two piece stock with near full length forearm, steel carbine style butt plate, blue finish, swivels, dovetail on base front sight, no provision for rear barrel sight, instead has the right side mounted receiver peep sight. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel retains approximately 90% plus original blue with scattered age freckling. Receiver is combination of finish flaking and dull blue. The stock is excellent and proud to metal with scattered impressions. The bore is bright with fine action. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
