Manufactured 1915. Special order 22" round take down short rifle with special shorter 8 - 1/4" forearm with fluted walnut shotgun buttstock and Winchester gutta percha butt plate with sling eyes, flat top rear sight, dovetail front sight, and blue finish. Side two line Winchester legend is strong and has PW proofs on both frame and barrel. CONDITION: Excellent. Receiver has faded to patina. Barrel and tube retain majority of blue starting to thin with some minor rubs / handling. Wood is excellent, proud to metal, scattered light impressions with some oil darkening. Bore is well defined but frosted. This is one slick little special order short rifle. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
