One of 5000 were produced in 1984. The Colt factory letter states that this gun, labeled as a show gun, was sent to Greg Martin Auctions in San Francisco on October 16th, 2008, without a firing pin or button safety. It is essentially a Colt New Frontier .22 with blue and case color finish, black eagle grips, flat top frame with target sight, and nickel plated accents. Left side of barrel has "John Wayne The Duke" in light silver banner. The box end label reads "JOHN WAYNE COMMEMORATIVE" with caliber, barrel, finish. Also comes with paperwork. CONDITION: Unfired with light handling. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
