9,000 manufactured in 1978 as a tribute to the Cherokee Nation. Blued carbine length barrel marked in gold at the breech "CHEROKEE CARBINE" with full length magazine tube retained by a pair of gold washed bands. Tall blade front sight and ladder rear. Gold washed saddle ring receiver engraved on the left "TRAIL OF TEARS - 1839" with a solemn depiction surrounded by geometric borders. Right side has a central Native portrait with scrollwork and geometric borders. Walnut carbine forend. Stock features a 4-cartridge compartment along the toe line, "Cherokee" medallion, and gold washed carbine butt plate. Complete with hang tag. CONDITION: Excellent, as new with light handling. Fine bore likely unfired since the factory. Fine mechanics. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
