Manufactured in 1937. This pre war carbine was expertly engraved. The frame features near full coverage deep chisel relief Arabesque scroll with punch dot back ground, decorative borders and flora which also covers the bolt, lever, upper tang and barrel bands. The gun was entirely nickel plated and there is no visible pitting under the plating. The stocks are extremely well fitted and finished in high gloss. This pre war features the ramp front sight, a steel butt plate (also nickel), a semi buckhorn rear sight, long wood forearm and a non fluted stock. CONDITION: Excellent. This gun retains virtually all of the custom finish with light handling only. The barrel legends are crisp as new. The bore is strong and clean but lightly frosted. A very striking carbine.
