Manufactured in 1937. The .219 was brought out by Winchester in 1937, the same year as this rifle. This standard model features round barrel, half magazine, solid frame, ramp front sight, Marbles rear sight, blue finish, plain pistol grip fluted walnut stock with checkered steel butt plate and swivels. A 1930-47 Weaver Model 330 rifle scope has been added that has a clear heavy single post reticle. This scope was used by World War II snipers. It has been mounted with a Weaver detachable on a frame attached rail. There is also a bolt peep with aperture removed. CONDITION: Excellent. Receiver retains about 75% blue, mostly on sides with all edges faded grey with base carry wear. Bolt and gate retains the most blue. Barrel shows about 80% blue with scattered spots of wear and handling marks. Stock is a bit shy to metal having been refinished at one time showing some minor scattered impressions. Forearm is proud with scattered impressions. Bore is bright with fine action. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
