Of the 5,717 Model 65s produced, Madis lists only 1,277 produced in .32-20 WCF chambering. Assembled circa 1940s. Standard blued Winchester Proof steel barrel with ramped blade front sight and sporting rear. Half length button style magazine with replacement cap. Plain walnut forend and pistol grip stock with checkered steel butt plate. CONDITION: Good as refinished in the period of use. Barrel retains nearly all of its reapplied blue with some muzzle wear. Receiver also retains the vast majority of its reapplied blue with carry wear. Nose cap has faded to patina. Stocks are very good with scattered field impressions and dings. Very fine, crisp mirror bore. Smooth mechanics. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
