Manufactured in 1896. Second year flat side with round barrel, base and blade front sight, filled rear slot, Lyman No. 21 receiver sight, blue finish, and walnut stock with rifle butt plate and matching forearm with ebony inset. CONDITION: Very good. Receiver and magazine are soft patina with 80% blue on bolt. Barrel retains 85% softening blue and blending with sharp Winchester two line barrel legend. Stocks are proud to metal with usual light impressions and dings with some added finish. Fine action with a strong but frosted bore. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
