In 1883, William Cody founded the Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. In 1983, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the shows founding, Colt produced a total of 500 Colt SAA revolvers to commemorate this event. The gun is a blue and case color finish single action with smooth walnut grips with Colt gold medallions. The unfluted cylinder features wide gold wedding bands with images of Bill doffing his cap while on horseback as well as a bust image of himself in western garb. The left side of barrel reads "BUFFALO BILL Centennial Commemorative" with two live western scenes. The right side shows the famous stage coach and reads "BUFFALO BILLS WILD WEST SHOW" with small Colt legend. All decoration is in gold. Top of barrel has standard Colt legend with two line patent date on left side of frame. Gun comes in special French fitted and lined walnut case. CONDITION: Shows as new with light handling.
