Manufactured in 1896. Take down frame, octagon barrel, full tube magazine, German silver tip front sight, semi buckhorn rear sight, blue finish, walnut stocks with rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent. Frame retains 30% blue blending to grey patina. Most blue intact on lever floorplate, light blue on bolt, flash of color pattern on hammer, Strong nitre blue on loading gate. Barrel and tube are a smooth patina with scattered handling, sharp top of barrel two line Winchester barrel legend. Stock is slightly shy to metal with majority of finish and scattered dings and impressions. Forearm also has some scattered dings and impressions. Action is smooth. Bore is well defined with some frosting. Great caliber. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
