Manufactured in 1889. Standard rifle with full octagon barrel, full tube magazine, walnut stock with rifle butt plate, matching forearm, semi buckhorn rear sight, silver blade front sight, blue finish with case color frame, lever and hammer. CONDITION: Very Good. The stocks are a hair shy to metal so would have been redone at one time but are solid with just usual small dings and impressions. Case colors have patterned out to grey patina but the bolt still retains generous blue as does loading gate. The barrel and tube have no original finish and are now a homogenous patina with sharp barrel legends. The bore is well defined but frosted with a fine action. Crisp old 86. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
